Your help is quested.  Please sign and forward the following petition on behalf of my sweety-pie 90-year old aunt.  Aunt Monica is ultra-alert, quick-witted, very charming, and as does everyone, she deserves quality of life for the rest of her days on this planet.

Posted to Facebook this morning:

My first-ever petition failed; only 13 signatures were garnered from a few thousand outreached to.  Clearly, the failure to rally support for my 90-year old aunt is not about my friends.  All of my friends, including Facebook Friends, are caring, compassionate, concerned citizens.  So what caused the petition to fail?

First, a quick bit of background.

My energy is that of an organized doer.  I like things tidy and neat, and I am very proactive when things need doing.  However, one size fits all is irrational in most anything in life.  While I try to organize and motivate others into action, I respect that everyone’s path, passions and m.o. are unique to every individual.

Even so, most of my online Friends, and likely yours, are take-action-doers.  They broadcast and request prayers, host events, participate in other’s events, share ideas, dreams and wish lists.  There are many cool doings throughout our online communities, and that is one significant aspect to their lure.

So what caused the petition to fail?

I wracked my brains for a time, questing an answer to why my appeal for help for my aunt so thoroughly tanked.  Crunchy schedules?  Energetic overwhelm?  Fear of repercussions?  Bad writing?  Wrong audience?  The reasons remain unclear, and are likely an amalgam of these possibilities.

What remains clear is my aunt requires that referral for a thyroid specialist, an Endocrinologist, a specialist of our choice – not a specialist of her doctor’s insistence.

Sadly, we can no longer trust my aunt’s doctor of 20 years.  Her doctor is diagnosing my aunt with something she does not have in order to cover-up his mishandling of her thyroid.  Very saddening, and hugely appalling.

We are not looking to sue.  We need that referral.  Those nodules on Aunt Monica’s thyroid need to be examined for possible cancer, and her hypothyroidism requires treatment.

We need to ensure quality of life for the rest of Aunt Monica’s days on this planet.  She deserves that.

So I pressed the reset button on my 90-year old aunt’s scenario.

A new petition was released this morning.  This new petition focuses on a different audience – someone who serves our country/state, and the media – in addition to re-extending outward to my friends, including my FB Friends.  The petition is directed FL Representative Kathy Castor, the 10 NEWS INVESTIGATORS team, and NPR.

There is no Thomas Edison, here.  Hopefully, it will not take 10,000 attempts to succeed in connecting with the people who will help Aunt Monica.   :-D

Please sign and forward the petition.

Hi, I'm a very new member but I've just heard about Monsanto and couldn't believe what I read.  I came across it while speaking with someone this morning. Do you have any info on this and what is the general consensus of this company?  Thank-you and hope to be on this site many times.

Over 300,000 pounds of hair are cut each day in the US and not to mention all the clippings from pet groomers.

Well speaking of causes. I have found some very unique mini-movies on YouTube that are very reflective and thought provocative. The latest ..
The Doors My Eyes Have Seen You - They Live movie by John Carpenter...

This is about waking up to SEE some examples where society is asleep at the wheel.
