I find it heartbreaking that we may find ourselves in a world without wild tigers, elephants, and gorillas. It's a shockingly real possibility because of an unprecedented rise in the illegal killing and sale of wildlife.
But we can do something about it. In places where adequate protection has been put into place, wildlife survives and thrives. We just need to make sure these kinds of programs receive the support they need.
That's why I just sent a letter to my U.S. senators and member of Congress asking them to pass the Global Conservation Act. It's an action plan to coordinate the efforts of government agencies, foreign countries, and the private sector for the greater good - protecting species like elephants, tigers, and gorillas from extinction.
Will you do the same?
It just takes a minute.
