As an awkward school girl, I often felt alone and melancholy (at best). I remember waiting for the bus one day and as I stood there, I noticed a boy across the street that I'd often seen in school. He was well known & liked and when he looked at me I wanted to disappear.

At that moment, his face became so kind & softened as he slightly smiled at me before waving. I waved back with such surprise and watched him go along his way. We didn't speak & I was sure that he didn't know my name, though I knew his.
It always meant a lot to me & I have never forgotten it. Shortly afterward, I heard that he'd been killed and it affected me greatly @ the time.
Twenty-three years later, I still pray for him, giving thanks for the complete experience. I consider him in the company of Angels.
Thank you R. Raspberry (his real name). Your gesture, presence & even your death have helped me to grow and know spirit in many ways, over the years.
Thank you
