Home Remedies for Dyspepsia:
Dyspepsia or indigestion might be caused due to over eating or the intake of unsuitable food. It is often followed by upset stomach, and having distress or burning sensation in the upper abdomen. Dyspepsia also might be caused due to ulcer in the stomach or Gastro esophageal reflux disease. Consumption of high fat foods, or eating the food quickly, and consumption of unsuitable foods might be the cause for dyspepsia. Indigestion happens when the food we consume not properly digested by the digestive system, which generally converts the foods into soluble substances that could be assimilated into blood stream.
Some of the health disorders or symptoms like, nausea, abdominal bloating, and stomach ache, diarrhea, constipation, stomach cramps, flatulence, heartburn, abdominal distress, caused due to Indigestion.
Let us discuss some of the home remedies for Dyspepsia or indigestion; ground cardamom seeds mixed with clove, coriander seeds, ginger is a good home remedy for dyspepsia. Take cider vinegar or lemon juice with water before meal provides relief from distress of indigestion. Orange juice not only provides nutrition and acts as good remedy for dyspepsia. Adding small quantity of mint leaves extract with a glass of water, and it should be taken 3 to 4 times to get relief from the same.
Peppermint tea provides relief from indigestion and heartburn symptoms and acts as good remedy for indigestion. Take herbal tea prepared with mint or raspberry or blackberry which provides good relief for the same. Take two spoons of lemon juice mixed with honey and ginger to get relief if indigestion is caused due to over eating. Munching of aniseeds after meals is also another home remedy that provides relief.
To get relief from indigestion roasted coriander seeds along with butter milk could also be tried. Just one spoon of roasted cumin seeds with a glass of water provides relief from dyspepsia. One spoon of ajwain seeds to be taken with black salt also provides good relief for indigestion. Taking of coriander leaves juice with a glass of buttermilk is another home remedy for the same. After a heavy meal, take ginger slices with salt, which stimulate digestive juices and provides good relief from indigestion. To get quick relief from indigestion, take one glass of water mixed with one spoon of baking soda, as it is considered as instant remedy for the same.
Dyspepsia or indigestion could be avoided by these simple measures; Do not take cold or hot food items at the same time, include green salads if you intend to take heavy meals, take food with a pleasant mood, take food at fixed intervals each and every day and know what foods should be eaten, do not take food that is unsuitable for your stomach, eat as much as your stomach afford or do not over eat.
