The NamaSpirit :: Yoga | Art | Music | Activism

The NamaSpirit is the seen and felt connections we have with one another.

It is that which at our very core touches and connects the

INNER selfless truth seeker with the same love which dwells in others.

We continue to support local & global efforts that use

LOVE to co-create change. Follow us on Humanity Healing

and share what you are doing to shine your light where

ever you are, using what ever opportunities are presented.

We are evolutionary BEings that believe true change comes from withIN and that the LOVE we have for "self" is a reflection of the love we give to others. Thereby we resolve to become peaceful / loving spiritual activists

Our NON-weapons of choice are :
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
____YOGA | ART | MUSIC | ACTIVISM____
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We honor our grass root movements who are out there
sharing eternal truths light, love & wisdom with others.

Eternal truths will hold true through the scrutiny of TIME.

October  till....

We will be donating a portion of all sells from the SACREDspace studio &

the Yarn Therapist to Humanity Healing!

I am currently FUNdraising to support the Breast Cancer Awareness Body Painting Project (BCABPP).  I was selected to participate in this amazing program that brings awareness for Breast Cancer Prevention while visually expressing the individual beauty of each participant through an amazing painting on the survivors "canvas" aka body!  Each image is a fusion of the woman's story and the visionary artistic interpretation of artist / photographer, Michael D. Colanero.

Acceptance is not automatic.  I submitted my letter of intention :

I. Why I Wish to Participate

Dear BCABPP Team,

Upon first glance at your project, I immediately felt drawn to it, and believe there was no mistake it came across my cyber-plate.  I am a breast cancer survivor, a yogini and an activist, as well as the Health & Wellness Editor for OM Times Magazine (www.OMtimes.com).

In my role as editor, part of my job is to find stories of inspiration and expose simple changes that create a huge impact in our life!  While our goal is to move humanity toward PREVENTION not treatment, we must deal with the very real impact of breast cancer on not only the women who fight the disease, but also on our society as a whole.

As a survivor, I know first hand some of the self esteem issues that women go through, and the staggering number who are actually abandoned upon a diagnosis of breast cancer.  My story of true inner and outer change begins with the diagnosis of advanced, stage III, multiple tumors - invasive ductal carcinoma - commonly known as breast cancer.  One emergency radical mastectomy and several surgeries later, I was forced to represent myself in court for 3 of the 4 years of my divorce, which was also taking place during that time.   Although I completed my degree, worked two jobs, and raised two teenage boys alone, my heart was broken and my body responded through the manifestation of a physical disease. [ submission continued ]

How the Money will be spent:

The money collected will fund the trip there and the rest will be donated to the project in accordance with what the needs of the project are.  I will be mapping out the most frugile trip possible and NOT staying in 5 star hotels.  We merely want to get there and share our story and participate in this program.  Currently we are looking at the most affordable way to get to the BCABPP Studio for our session.
I will keep our supporters updated and the money will be accounted for.  There is NO free ride - you are sponsoring a survivor to share her story and bring awareness to Breast Cancer.

Are you still with me?
If you have made it this far, I thank you so much for your time and consideration.  If you believe in the project and would like to sponsor this adventure, we will be making public thank you's at OM Times Magazine!  Humanity Healing and OM Times are in part a sponsor for this endeavor through the support they provide for our Middle Tennessee STREETteam.  I know I am not alone in this and now I put my story out there and ask the universe for support.  I believe in this project and it is in alignment with several projects I am working on independent of this.  It feels as though it were meant to cross my cyber neighborhood!

This is our manifesto too!  All those who are here, building, co-creating ... uniting our voices.

We support all the individuals, groups and organizations that use their "powers" for GO(o)D!  ;-)

Happy Weekend to you each.  Will be updating what's going on in TN soon.

Right now we are working with the Yarn Theaprist, Leila Cook - to bring awareness through CRAFTivisim.   We will be at the 33rd Annual Mountaineer Folk Festival this year too!  (That's for our middle TN Folks)

What's going on in your neck of the virtual or 3D world?  We'd love to hear about it and share what's going on GO(o)D in the world.  Love & Endless Light!

July 16th signals the beginning of Buddhist Lent, which will last for 90 days, i.e. late October.

It is an intense period of introspection and often, also isolation for meditation purposes. Buddhists believe that at the start of Buddhist Lent, the heavens open and the devas watch humans and often test them to see how strong their precepts are followed. Many monks and nuns isolate themselves to meditate during this time. For those of you not familiar with what form of Buddhism Thailand follows, here Theravada Buddhism is observed, which is somewhat different from the Tibetan practises. Any questions on this subject will be welcomed.
