The Turtle Dream
A long time ago, when my daughter was young, I had a dream that a native american man came to me. He was talking to me about my daughter and my family lineage. I could barely hear what he was saying. But the thing that was so embedded in my brain was when he was talking, he waved his hand and half a rainbow appreared. Above it was 4 turtle shells on the left. I was so transfixed by the rainbow and the turtle shells. Since then I have always referred to my daughter as turtlewomen, not sure why but I do. Can anyone help with what any of this means or symbolizes?

Dreams guide people. The true meaning is an interpretation that leads towards the right path. If it is done with piety and an open heart it will lead towards the divine. Only you know the right meaning. But since you ask may I offer my own interpretation?
Iris is she of the rainbow in greek tradition. She holds all dynamics of manifestation (dreaming). She is daughter of Thaumas (miracle) a primordial marine spirit and Electra (sunshine) daughter of Ocean. She is seen as a messenger of the divine. I see she apeared as a man to you. It is common for the gods to take many forms and names as their essence is beond form. By calling your daughter by such a name (Helone in my tongue) you have done her much good. Turtle magic is powerful. Grounding. You have given her strong roots which will allow her to grow well. When she becomes a woman the time will come when, in gods will, she might seek to attach the divine horns (the solar road) that create unity between Sky and Earth, the lyre. And she will dance then. Create words of wisdom. Which is the human equivalent of cosmic harmony. I wish you and your daughter good spirits always, health, and fruitfull being.
