Just wanted to pop in and see what the veggie folks were up to. IF we do have some good veggie recipes - is anyone posting them to OM times? It would be great to have them for the magazine. Right now I don't really have access to a kitchen to cook & experiment - but I do know that almost everything we NEED can be found in nuts / berries / veggies / fruits etc...

I eat minimal amounts of meat, for a variety of reasons (one of which is the cruelty to the animals, not to mention the poison(s) that are being injected into our food supply)

Hi Lonewolf, I saw your post about soy. I've been veggie for over 30 years now and only really used soy during the menopause when I found it helpful. There are many wonderful meals you can make using pulses and nuts and grains. It's really a matter of finding a recipe book and trying things out or if you are brave enough experiment. I personally love nut loaf and seeds. I also drink a lot of water .

I am responding to sage's email about acid reflux...I am a longtime sufferer of this condition. My favorite resource is the book, Eating for Acid Reflux by Jill Sklar and Annabell Cohen. All the recipies arent vegetarian but there are gems in there and it is a great resource!

hi all,
i've been vegi mostly since being 10 years old.I'm 26 now.That time me mom just switched to indian vegiterian cookin in a day time.I've never complained to myself being a vegi.As soon as i became it,my psychic and paranormal capacities just skyrocketed.First it was confusing.Then i got used to it.The point is that a long time ago people used to feed themselves with solar and prana energy.Then some time passed and they started to consume..vegi food,mostly vegatables and fruits.However the method of solar and prana feedin is being reactivated nowdays by certain spiritual masters.I've myself recently found out about being able to keep without at least no food for couples of days.I had amazing feelin complete allignement,wonderfull meditation..all those paranormal and psychic capasites just skyrocketed..but this time on higher lvl.The main point of what i noticed was that...well..we don't need food at all.Just prana and solar energy we'll do fine with us.I was like wow..amazing stuff,but i became a bit afraid of that.You know living in human body..with habbit to eat some food..though small amount.So for now i'm seriously considerin to change me lifestyle eating habbit from food to solar energy and prana.Being vegi is amazing and wonderful stuff..but feedin with prana and solar energy is much better.I've recently tried out some stuff with bottle of water.It was advised in certain prana book that if bottle of water is exposed to sunlight for certain time..it will energise with solar energy.Ok,i tried it.You know,the result came beyond of expectation..like for couple of days i was able to dring that energised water only without consuming any food.I really didn't want to it,which was a bit strange for me..cause it seems to be normal for human body to consume it.Anyway it's just me sort of personal research on pranic and solar feedin.it can be just interesting to read for some of you...and for others..maybe to take advantage of it...:)

Hi guys!

I'm really looking for some recipes without soy. I am unable to eat anything with it in it due to the high concentration of phytoestrogens. On that note, woman who have an estrogen dominant system or have female type cancers in their family should be careful with estrogens in foods.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to a substitute for tofu?
