The First Step
In this walking I find,
That there is no perfection.
Not of the body nor of the mind.
Nor within this relentless struggle
That we refer to as time.
We are limitless and infinite,
But only when,
We start to perceive from inside.
Each step taken forth,
Starts to become heavier
yet lighter than the ones before.
As you finally feel grounded
In a foundation that has been,
Since long before you and I were even born.
Within this realization seen
I witness the creation of everything.
From the smallest glimpses
Of quantum universes fleeting.
To the expansive strength
That is found in every single human being.
From the death and supernovae of stars.
To the brightly burning life of ours.
There is no possible way
to appreciate these from afar.
You must take that first step,
For that is where every journey starts.
