Im new here (my mother is Turtle Clan, My father is Ojibway)
Growing up my father always told stories and shared memories. Once older I attended Native American classes and Public Schooling as well. We learned language, basic traditions and crafts. Those years together with my family were great and are some of my most fondest memories, However Growing up in a rough area Detroit and dealing with the death of the Director of the Native Center, a woman who I considered a Grandmother, things just fell apart. Sharon Houck Russo said… Hi Valerie, auspiscious to meet you...I am having trouble this morning learning to use a new keyboard...a simple task I bet for a 26 year old and hugely difficult to this 64 year old!
So all I can easily type this morning...having to take the keyboard back today to get an easier one to navigate..is..happy birthday...I wish you a very happy day! I love Native American spirituality and come from a completely experiential wisdom and learning...which resonates with me deeply...perhaps meeting a younger Native American woman today is perhaps an introduction to what is to come in my life...as so many other signs are..to helping children in some way...evolving....in process.. .starlight dancing in myraid circles and droplets to form some beautiful star burst of light...unknown now..but like a comet just starting to appear amongst some shower of myriad comets to burst forth at some point...somehow...in some form unbeknownest...so take care, blessings of starlight smile and gratitude bundles to you.
