The first rule to group work is this: To be successful, each member of the group needs to feel safe and respected in the group.
Each member in a group is an asset. Claim each asset as a group, or create deterrence.
No one member is more important than another.
The mission of the group is priority and above individual wants or needs.
Communication is vital. Everyone must be on the same page.
Each person in a group should respect each other at all times, regardless of individual opinion.
When there is difference of opinion, each member must be mindful that they are sharing with each other for the benefit of the group rather than defending their stance or opinion.
The primary purpose of group work is not the mission of the group, but instead, the development of its members and constituents through collaboration.
Group Work = Collaboration
Collaboration = Joint Creation
The potential of a collaborative result is blankness on the page. How a group seizes the potential is up to the willingness of each member to accept one another and participate in collaboration.
True acceptance = Trust
Trust = Harmony
Harmony = Group Success
Focus = Intention
Intention = Creation
