I like your term, 'pattern-shape thing.' Used to hang around the art building with lots of grad student painters, and got walloped by all kinds of jargon...anthropomorphic forms...pictures were 'rendered' rather than drawn...stuff like that. Heck, I'm guilty of using it too. But 'pattern-shape thing' is much more inviting.

Nice metaphor with the cutouts...carrying our illusions comes to mind. I love this piece. Thanks for sharing it with us. Thank You for your Friendship too. Hugs and Aloha. Mark
