Think on This...
. . . as the body may dedicate its life and its abilities to a definite service, to the Creative Forces, or God, there will be healing forces brought to the body. This requires, then, that the mental attitude be such as to not only proclaim or announce a belief in the divine, and to promise to dedicate self to same, but the entity must consistently live such.

The Catacombs of Paris

Most of all of Paris' larger churches once had their own cemeteries, but city growth and generations of dead began to overwhelm them. From the late seventeenth century, Paris' largest Les Innocents cemetery was saturated to a point where their neighbors were suffering from disease, due to contamination caused by improper burials, open mass graves, and earth charged with…

Mindfulness Is Your Love for Yourself

To be mindful is to be where you are, coming to recognize the gift of life only in the eternity of the present moment. Just take a few moments, sit and watch your mind without the lens of judgment, you will be surprised to see the randomness and waste of energy.

If you become aware of your intentions, thoughts and words your behavior will change for sure. It is the unconsciousness that creates misery in life. Mindfulness is your love for yourself, a gift unto yourself to enlighten the…

Theosophical Views: Sacrifice, Suffering -- and Compassion

Theosophical Views
By Sally Dougherty

We seek to avoid suffering, yet it is through suffering that we so often learn life's lessons and develop compassion. Suffering and compassion lie at the heart of Buddhism. Waking up to who you are.

Discover the Love that begins in you, undivided flowing like the dew fall. Feel your own power, and realize that this is the energy and love that sustains all. A similar energy exists in the Earth, water, wind, and fire. So too it is in every color of the rainbow, the Sun, moon, and the stars in the heavens above. They all draw upon this one elixir of life. The time is now to open your heart and find out your only resource is the Source. The…
