Ahhh, so that's where you were :D I always love the music and energy on your page here! Thanks for the note. Yeah, it will be fun to chat with you sometime ! :) Tonight I went to a party for a friend's 70th birthday! There were so many people there and I met this great couple who sing together - they both have beautiful voices and their music is all original and all spiritual, even the ones not about spiritual topics :D. Very cool. There was a fire and people hanging out. Good times. I sang one of my songs... the most recent one, that I just finished this morning. Was pretty cool. Take care Valory :D Se eyou soon. peace and love, Rachel
ohhh, I'm just hearing the song: You are the face of God, on your page here. I heard the Buddhist version, You are a Buddha, a few years ago at a retreat led by 4 disciples of Thich Naht Hanh, and have since used it as You are a Child of God, with English speaking kids in Catholic Schools, Tu es l'enfant de Dieu, with French Immersion kids, and more recently as a family song to teach my ESL students (adult refugees): She is my mother. He is my father. They are my parents. I love my parents. etc with other family mmebers :) This is a touching and beautiful version wow. Will ahve to find out the singer. love to you. Rachel
Dear Valory, thanks for your comment! Interesting observations and contacts! :) I liked this: "it is our intentions, respect and gratitude for them [plants and animals] as we are raising them, ending their lives, preparing to take them into our bodies and adding their lifeforce with our own." That is the conclusion I also came to, it is such an intimate thing, to eat. We are taking that being's physical expression into ourselves and its intention in this world is becoming part of us. I was also thinking of the way indigenous peoples traditionally hunt/ed, where they honoured the gift the animal gave by giving their life for the people to live. And also for the plants, that they offer/ed maybe tobacco to give thanks for their gifts to the people. I often give thanks for their gifts, when I give thanks for my food . And every animal plant and person and element involved din bringing the food to me. Yeah this has become and important part of my practice in life.... Our interconnectedness is very obvious to me, as it seems it is to you too. Got to go, but hope to keep chatting ;D take care of yourself. Peace, Rachel
Valory, really nice site. So you advocate raw foods is it? I read the oen about the cats, and about the plants. I can feel the energy of plants, earth animals and other people. I did not know that essential oils did so much, and were so helpful - or why. Do you eat raw meat? Are you a vegetarian? I was for a year adn a half, but I had problems with soya, milk and some beans, so that did not leave much more sources of protein! So I had to go back on a diet with meat. But I'm thinking now tha tI read that, that I will start eating a lot more raw stuff. Take care! Rachel
Hi Valory, great to meet you! Your profile has great energy. What a relief. Thank you. I like the music on here too. What made me look at your profile was your name: It is similar to that of one of my best friends: Anna Victory Rose! Hope life is good with you. Peace and courage for the journey. Bread and water of God be with you to nourish you on the road. love and light, also. Rachel.
I didn't know that you were here. I don't check her often any more.
I'm not fully on the raw food diet, couldn't combat the dinner table with family. Emotionally I want to join in the same foods. They refused to accommodate me, so I've accommodated them, only part way though.
